TERMS OF SALE (PHYSICAL GOODS)

1. Introduction

By placing an order for physical books through this website, you (“Buyer”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Sale. Please read them carefully before completing your purchase.

2. Pricing and Payment

• Currency: All prices are listed and processed in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD).
• Payment Processing: Payments are processed directly via Stripe. We do not have access to, nor do we store, your credit card information. All transaction details are handled securely by Stripe in accordance with their privacy policy and security standards.
• Discounts: Promotional discounts (such as the 25% single-item discount or the additional 5% bundle discount) are applied at the time of checkout.
• Taxes and Duties: While shipping costs are included in the purchase price, the Buyer is the importer of record. Any import duties, VAT, taxes, or customs fees levied by the destination country are the sole responsibility of the Buyer.

3. Shipping and Fulfillment

• Logistics Partner: Orders are fulfilled via Amazon’s global logistics network.
• Fulfillment Timeline: Please be advised that these are “Author-fulfilled” copies. As such, they require additional handling time compared to standard retail orders.
• Estimated Delivery: Please allow 6–8 weeks from the purchase date for delivery.
• Tracking: A delivery estimate and tracking information (where available) will be sent to the email address provided once the order has been processed.
• Cancellation by Seller: In the event we are unable to fulfill an order due to logistical issues or stock unavailability, we reserve the right to cancel the order. In such cases, you will not be charged, or a full refund will be issued immediately.

4. Returns and Refunds

We accept returns of physical books under the following strict conditions:

• Timeframe: You must initiate a return within 14 days of receiving the item.
• Condition: Items must be returned in “like-new” condition. We cannot accept returns for books that contain writing, highlighting, dog-eared pages, or significant signs of wear.
• Process: To initiate a return, you must contact us via the Contact page with your order number and photographic proof of the book’s condition.
• Bundles: If you purchased a bundle (e.g., to receive the extra 5% discount), you must return all items within that bundle. Partial returns of a bundle will result in the forfeiture of the bundle discount, which will be deducted from the refund amount.

5. Product Quality and Variations

• Print on Demand: Books are printed individually. Minor variations in printing (e.g., slight color shifts in cover art or paper texture) are inherent to the printing process and are not considered defects.
• Defective Items: If a book arrives with significant damage or manufacturing defects, please contact us immediately with photos for a replacement or refund assessment.

6. Governing Law

These Terms of Sale shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
