Digital License Terms (Digital Publications)

Introduction

These Digital License Terms govern the purchase and use of digital publications distributed by H. Peter Hong (the "Publisher") through the website located at https://drhong.com.hk (hereinafter referred to as "DrHong.com.hk" or the "Website"). By accessing or purchasing from the Website, you agree to these terms.

1. License Grant

By purchasing or downloading a digital publication (“eBook”) from DrHong.com.hk (the “Publisher”), you receive a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to access and use one personalized copy. Each file is uniquely watermarked with identifying information (such as your name and transaction ID) to ensure authenticity and copyright protection.

2. Permitted Use

• You may store your licensed copy on personally owned devices (computer, tablet, or phone).
• You may keep a single personal backup for archival use.
• You may print limited portions for private study or professional reference.

3. Prohibited Use

• Do not share, lend, sell, upload, post, or distribute the file or its contents.
• Do not remove, alter, or obscure visible or invisible watermark identifiers.
• Do not modify, reproduce, or adapt the publication without written authorization from the Publisher or author(s).

6. Delivery and Access

• A secure download link is emailed automatically after successful payment.
• The link remains valid for 48 hours and up to three downloads.
• Replacement links may be provided upon verified request within the validity period.

7. Refund Policy

7.1 General Conditions

Refunds are available only if (i) no download has been initiated and (ii) a cancellation request is received within seven (7) days of the original transaction date. Once any download link is accessed or any file download is initiated, the license is deemed “used,” and the purchase becomes non‑refundable.

7.2 Bundled Purchases

For any package, collection, or “bundle” that contains multiple digital publications sold under a single transaction, the initiation of a download for any included item constitutes acceptance and delivery of the entire bundle. Accordingly, once any component of a bundle has been downloaded (or its download initiated), the entire bundle becomes non‑refundable. No partial refunds will be issued for bundle purchases.

8. Termination of License

Violating these Terms—including unauthorized copying, sharing, or tampering—immediately terminates your license. Upon termination, you must delete all copies and may face further legal actions as permitted by law.

9. Updates and Revisions

The Publisher may update these Terms from time to time. The most recent version posted on DrHong.com.hk (specifically at drhong.com.hk/license) replaces any earlier version and applies to all digital publications distributed through this site.
